The song Occam’s Razor had been kicking about in our live set for a while and, being a bit noisier than what we had done before, clearly needed a bit of a re-think on the recording side of things.

After dabbling with studio recorded drums on our previous release we decided that this had, cunningly, made things sound better and that there was a reason why bands tended to use them and not spend three weeks converting their homes into cable filled death traps. So into the studio we went.

The end result was, happily, very noisy indeed and after adding synths, vocoders and even a distorted washing machine into the mix, we were satisfied that Occam’s Razor was now loud enough and did justice to the more rockier live sound that we had going on around that time.

The E.P. featured three other songs, one of which Jim, for old times sake, did insist on recording at home using his now trademark duvet vocal booth.

The E.P. had a limited edition CD and full digital release in 2010. The CDs have now sold out…..sorry.
